Hello,
Welcome to my weekly column on the Web.
I plan to use this space to espouse some insight on a topic of
interest to the community, whether it's something being talked
about in the news or an idea that's uniquely my own. (And I've
been known to have quite a few unique ideas.)
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kenneth
Wajda. Perhaps you've seen me soaking up the daily news while
sitting over a scone and coffee at the 16th Street Cafe. (If you
see me, stop and say, "Hi.")
I am a former photojournalist from New Jersey, having worked for
the Trenton Times Newspaper
for 13 years. I am also a magazine writer and photographer--when
I lived on the east coast, I was a frequent contributor to New
Jersey Outdoors Magazine.
Before moving to Colorado earlier this year, I wrote a book called
the Travel Photo Workshop
and started a company with the same name to teach travelers and
photographers of all levels how to capture beautiful travel memories.
So far, I've been offering the live course in Manitou Springs
and Pueblo, at their art centers, and have been making my living
selling the Travel Photo Workshop on CD-ROM at art shows and outdoor
markets across Colorado.
It was featured in the Daily
Record this past summer and has been getting lots of good
reviews. This week, I'm taking the Travel Photo Workshop to bookstores
from Montrose to Denver. I guess you could say I'm on my first
book tour.
I'm also a filmmaker and screenwriter. In fact, I have two scripts
in Hollywood now, making the rounds. One of them, titled I'M A
BEREAVER, is getting a lot of attention. I'm just waiting for
that call.
My
goal is to be able to afford to make my living writing exclusively,
primarily for Hollywood. Movies are in my blood. In fact, check
out the link below and you'll find my weekly Movie
Review.
I hope you'll come back weekly and check out what I'm ranting
about. I've included links to the left to pages that are useful
to Cañon
City residents, including a Bulletin
Board.
If you enjoy this page, please email it to your friends. Thanks.
I hope to see you here next week.
